The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog.
Boisterous protests continue to focus on the unjust and unprosecuted killings of Michael Brown, Jr., Tamir Rice, Eric Garner, John Crawford and other extinguished black lives. Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Derrick Rose and other athletes added their support, challenging us to do better. But attention to black lives has begun to wane as the Senate report on the Central Intelligence Agency‘s torture program commanded the spotlight. Whitefolks’ linguistic dexterity was on full display as the word “torture” was abandoned for “Enhanced Interrogation Techniques” and ultimately an abbreviation, EIT’s. A hack of Sony’s emails revealed a troth of Racist content, including remarks directed at President Obama and Kevin Hart. The data breach resulted in Jamie Foxx and Quvenzhané Wallis‘ new film Annie being leaked as well; the remake received its own Racist backlash as many Whites are not pleased their redhead orphan is now a black girl. Hollywood’s Mark Wahlberg also garnered a torrent of attention in his quest for a pardon from Massachusetts’ non-white governor, Deval Patrick; Wahlberg proudly participated in an acts of White Terrorism and Racist assaults as a teen. But his funky bunch days are long gone, and if Darren Wilson and Dan Pantaleo got a clean slate, who can begrudge the 2001 Planet Of The Apes star?
