The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly summit on Neutralizing Workplace Racism. Many across the country and world have been captivated by the White Terrorist attack in Buffalo, New York. Gus recommends not discussing this incident with co-workers – White or non-white. Say that it’s tragic but you’ve not kept up with the details. Or simply state: you don’t discuss politics on the job. Racist may try to goad non-white people into disclosing our thoughts while in the workplace. This never benefits non-white workers. Also, a number of the thirteen victims at the Buffalo Tops supermarket were “on the clock.” We’ll remind non-white workers to be vigilant about the people in your work environment. Notice people’s demeanor, clothing and mood. Always trust your judgement if you feel something is not right.
