The Context of White Supremacy hosts the fourth study session on former South African President Nelson Mandela’s autobiography, Long Walk To Freedom (1994). Gus hopes this will be an opportunity for Victims of Racism to learn more about the region of South Africa and the manner in which White Terrorism was practiced in this location during the 20th century. Last week’s session concluded with the beginning of Madiba’s counter-racist political development. He described the slaughters during the 1940’s mine strikes as well as problems within the African National Congress. As we continue reading we’ll keep in mind that Racist Suspect and current nominee to the US State Department Rick Stengel helped construct this text; we should remain alert for White influence for the duration of the book. We’ll also be mindful of the sway of Christianity/White Jesus as well as the inspiration of attempted counter-racist efforts in other parts of the globe.
