Scotty T Reid – Over the past week, we have seen politicians, including former Sec of State Hillary Clinton, decide to boycott events that Donald Trump or members of his administration were scheduled to attend. The latest boycott involved a speech being given by President Trump at the International Association of Chiefs of Police conference in Chicago this week. Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson stated “personal feelings” as to why he did not attend the speech and was singled out for criticism by Trump in his speech.

Are these boycotts indeed principled stands or meaningless political stunts?
