As Ukraine continues its war effort, questions remain about whether the country can ever reconcile its internal divisions—or whether the policies of Hanul and his ideological allies have set Ukraine on a path of permanent conflict. If nothing else, his assassination is a stark reminder that the very forces he helped empower may eventually consume those who once led them.

Tonight on Political Prisoner Radio we welcome Netfa Freeman, an organizer with the International Committee for the Freedom of The Cuban 5 who will be coming on to discuss the upcoming 5 Days for the Cuban 5. The NY Times recently published a propaganda piece on the issue surrounding the United States, specifically Florida, long being a base of operations for terrorist attacks on Cuba. The NY Times piece is basically saying move along, nothing to see here which is nothing new for so-called news organizations in the United States which have a history of assisting the US Government in its propaganda efforts.
“The International Committee for the Freedom of the Cuban 5 is a network of concerned citizens from several countries of Europe, Latin America and from the United States. The main objective of the International Committee is to raise awareness about the case of the Cuban 5 and the issue of family visits.
In September 1998, five Cuban men were arrested in Miami by FBI agents. Gerardo Hernandez, Ramón Labañino, Fernando Gonzalez, Antonio Guerrero and René Gonzalez were accused of the crime of conspiracy to commit espionage. The US government never accused them of actual espionage, nor did it affirm that real acts of espionage had been carried out, as no classified document had been confiscated from the Five. Their actual mission in the United States was monitoring the activities of the groups and organizations responsible for terrorist activities against Cuba. After the triumph of the Cuban revolution in 1959, Cuba had been the victim of more terrorist attacks than any other country in the world, killing 3,478 and injuring 2,099. The vastly majority of those attacks originated in southern Florida, by groups tolerated and partly financed by the US government.” – thecuban5.org
