Thursday, February 22nd 8:00PM Eastern/ 5:00PM Pacific
The Context of White Supremacy hosts our Thursday weekly caucus on neutralizing Workplace Racism. The broadcast is designed to improve non-white people’s problem-solving skills and to fine-tune how black people think, speak, act and manage emotions while at work. Any listeners who’ve figured out the optimal tactics to minimize conflicts with White and/or non-white co-workers, avoid demotions, write-ups, terminations or other forms of violence we experience under Racist work conditions should be first to call in with explicit details. We’re always grateful for the opinions of “black entrepreneurs;” please, share with us how being “self employed” improves your labor experience. As this is the middle of Black History Month, we’ll see if Racist have used February to exhibit tacky acts of Racism under the guise of celebrating black history. We’ll also re-visit what inhibits us from applying our counter-racist codification on the job. More often than not, failure to apply codification invites easily avoidable problems. Gus encourages that Victims of Racism write down critical workplace incidents. Documenting your thoughts and workplace occurrences is more dependable than memory, and the act of documenting can clarify your thinking. We’ll also ask that non-white listeners share significant portions of the policy and procedure from your current place of employment.
