The C.O.W.S. Neutralizing Workplace Racism 02/15/18

The Context of White Supremacy hosts our Thursday weekly caucus on neutralizing Workplace Racism. The purpose for this program is to improve non-white people’s problem-solving skills and to fine-tune how black people think, speak, act and manage emotions while at work. Any listeners who’ve discovered the optimal strategy to minimize disputes with White and/or non-white co-workers, avoid demotions, write-ups, terminations or other forms of violence we experience under Racist work conditions should be first to call in with details. We’re always grateful for the opinions of “black entrepreneurs;” please, share with us how being “self employed” improves your labor experience. We’re in the middle of the “holiday season,” we’ll review strategies for surviving – or rejecting – office parties and how to decline gift-giving exercises. We’ll exchange counter-racist strategies from listeners as well as individual reflections from your own work history. Gus encourages that Victims of Racism write down critical workplace incidence. Documenting your thoughts and workplace occurrences is more dependable than memory, and the act of documenting can clarify your thinking. We’ll also ask that non-white listeners share significant portions of the policy and procedure from your current place of employment.
