Video: New militant group claims responsibility for deadly Western Egypt attack

A previously unknown militant group has claimed responsibility for an attack in which 16 security officers were killed. The attack happened in the Western region of the country. The group, called Ansar al-Islam has, however, not given concrete proof of its involvement in the attack. The group states that it has links with the al-Qaeda network. This latest entrant in militancy presents Egypt with a new challenge in its war against terrorism, both within and without its borders.
