Army General avoids jail time for sexual assaults

As expected, Army Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Sinclair who was tried by a military court on charges that he had sexually assaulted a subordinate that he was involved in an adulteress affair with pled guilty to lesser charges and avoided losing his military pension and prison. Sinclair was fined $20,000 and reprimanded. The outcome of the sentencing will likely enrage those in Congress who have been seeking reforms in the US military on how it handles rapes and sexual assaults.
