The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly forum on Neutralizing Workplace Racism. Spring is here and Covid-19’s on the wane – or at least it’s being reported that infection rates have dropped substantially over the past month. Many folks are being asked to return to the officer. Countless black workers who’ve been working remotely (and loving it) dread returning to their White Supremacist colleagues. The folks who’ve been commuting to the workplace the whole time continue dealing with the usual suspects. We’ll work to assist a black educator who’s nearing completion of her graduate program. As usual, White instructors are combative, rude and unhelpful when asked to clarify information. We’ll discuss the best way to get that diploma with the fewest White obstacles. We’ll also give reminders about wardrobe in the workplace. Gus would recommend not being too casual when returning to the office. Sweatpants, footies, and pajamas probably won’t work as well for black employees.
