The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly summit on Neutralizing Workplace Racism. President Joe Biden duped a number of non-white people and further refined the System of White Supremacy by declaring “Juneteenth” a federal holiday – what ever that means. Numerous business are marking/mocking the occasion with commemorations, hashtags and other tacky acknowledgements. Some companies are even offering paid time off. All this coincides with the ongoing transition to back to life without Covid-19. Numerous work environments continue to struggle with policy and procedure to keep employees and patrons safe. With many regions dropping mask requirements and other restrictions, many employers have been given wide latitude to enforce their own policies for workplace safety. Gus suggests black workers continue to make their health and well being a top priority in the workplace and check often for updates to policy and procedure.
