Tony Timpa’s Death Highlights How Cops Are Indiscriminately Killing US Citizens
DN – In August 2016, Tony Timpa was killed by Dallas police after calling 911 to ask for help. He told the dispatcher that he suffered from schizophrenia and depression but was off his medication for schizophrenia. Bodycam footage has recently been released, nearly three years after his death, showing the responding officers openly mocking him as he became increasingly incoherent and unresponsive. Today, we speak with Geoff Henley, the attorney representing Timpa’s family, about the contents of the newly released footage and the “ongoing problem in law enforcement” that leads to such “horrific situations.”
