The C.O.W.S. Compensatory Call-In 06/15/19

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog.

This coming Sunday is designated as Father’s Day. A substantial number of folks will be disappointed that the so-called holiday will have no basketball. The Toronto Raptors captured their first NBA championship Thursday evening. Golden State Warrior’s Kevin Durant ruptured his Achilles during this week after White doctors and owners provided medical information that is being widely questioned. Speaking of second-guessing, filmmaker Ava DuVernay’s “When They See Us” continues to generate consequences as Elizabeth Lederer, the former White prosecutor of the Central Park 5 rape case, resigned her position from Columbia Law School. The New York Times afforded her space for an op-ed piece to defend herself.
