The C.O.W.S. Compensatory Call-In 01/19/19

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog.

Days before the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, the federal government remains gridlocked in a so-called shutdown to keep non-white children from leaping the border to hold hands with White children. Iowa Congressman Steve King claimed to be a victim of political correctness after being chastised for defending the terms “White Nationalism” and “White Supremacy.” Since the U.S. Representative has years of history making racist comments, it’s difficult to imagine him losing office or being otherwise adversely impacted. Speaking of accountability, former Chicago police officer Jason Van Dyke was sentenced to fewer than 7 years in prison for the 2014 murder of 17-year-old LaQuan McDonald. This same week, three of Van Dyke’s fellow White officers were acquitted for covering up McDonald’s slaying. Similarly, Vermont Attorney General T.J. Donovan, a White man, announced that no one would be prosecuted for the relentless terrorism former State Representative Kiah Morris endured – which included vandalism, home invasion, and threats of lethal violence.
