African Immigrant, Naturalized US Citizen Becomes Mayor Of Montana’s Capital During The Age of Trump
President Trump has taken his rhetoric against immigrants to new lows, but one African immigrant who became Mayor is trying to change the conversation in the state of Montana. Wilmot Collins came to the state as a refugee fleeing civil war from Liberia. One year ago, he defeated a four-term incumbent to become mayor of Montana’s capital city Helena.
