Displaced Palestinian Protests Demanding Return To Their Homeland Enter Week 17
Palestinians have continued to protest in the ‘Great March of the Return’ in the East of the Gaza Strip on Friday. The mass demonstrations started on March 30, and are expected to culminate on Nakba Day in May 15. In Arabic, the date is known as al-Nakba, or ‘the catastrophe’, and it marks the anniversary of the displacement of close to 1 million Palestinians that followed the creation of the State of Israel in 1948.a day after Israel’s 70th anniversary of its declaration of independence.
Since its creation as an apartheid “Jewish” nation, Israel has engaged in some of the most egregious crimes against humanity to include European descendant Jews practicing racism and white supremacy against African Jews from Ethiopia.
Since the protests began, Israelis forces have killed dozens and wounded thousands of unarmed protesters demanding the right to return to their ancestral homelands after they were purged from their communities by white supremacist Jewish extremist.
