Florida Woman Gouges Out Her Mothers Eyes In A Crime That Is Common In The United States
BTR News (Royal Palm Beach) – A 32 yr-old woman is facing a first-degree murder charge in connection with the death of her mother whose eyes were gouged out and placed in a cardboard box. Camille Balla who seems to be suffering from mental illness will undergo a mental health assessment after her arrest for the grisly murder of Francisca Monteiro-Balla who was 55 yrs old and was found dead in her garage along with several handwritten notes which contained religious-themed written messages related to “clearing of the soul”.
A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office probable cause affidavit says that after the alleged murder, Balla called a co-worker and asked for help and told the friend that she “believed she may have murdered her mother.” The co-worker arrived at the Royal Palm Beach home and saw Balla covered in blood and immediately called 911. When deputies arrived, Balla spontaneously said, “I killed my mother and I need help.”
Deputies said Balla was being treated by paramedics for lacerations at the scene when she started to scream, “I’m a murderer.” Balla has been arrested several times but all seem to be related to non-violent drug possession.
