The 13th Amendment of the US Consitution legalized slavery and involuntary servitudes as punishment for crime for those “duly” convicted of crimes. However, the 15th Amendment says that the federal government and the states can not abridge the right to vote “on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude”. Does this mean that laws that prohibit people convicted of felonies unconstitutional?
