Gus T. Renegade, host of The Context of White Supremacy Radio Program, offers a few insights from his recent experience attending a baby shower for expecting non-white parents. The occasion reminded Gus that the war against black people begins before birth. It was sobering, but fruitful, discussing the International Center For Traditional Childbearing, the suppression of black natural birth procedures, and the frustrations and fears of an expecting black mother. In fact, Gus introduced himself as a “Victim of White Supremacy” to those gathered to celebrate the birth of a melanated child. As one would expect, this did not go unnoticed. Dr. Frances Cress Welsing would emphasize that the creation of a black life is a sacred practice, that White Supremacists intend on destroying.
