Lost in the insult by the Filipino President Duterte towards CEO of USA INC Barack Obama, is that his country isn’t the only one where suspected drug dealers and users face extrajudicial killings by law enforcement and the US government gives millions of dollars to the Philippines just to “fight” a failed global Drug War.
On August 30, Hillsborough County deputies shot and killed 22-year-old Lavonia “Daddyman” Riggins in his home in Clair-Mel, a community to the southeast of Tampa. The murder happened during a SWAT raid for what appears to be only two grams of cannabis worth about $40.
While rapists and child porn consumers are getting probation, a Black woman will be six years a slave for allegedly enrolling her son in a school out of his district although the family was homeless.
