The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White p  eople. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog.

#ANTIBLACKNESS

The trial of former officer and suspected sexual predator Daniel Holtzclaw began this week; all of his alleged victims are black females. The jury deciding his fate is all White. Ironically, the Supreme Court at this very moment is reviewing the routine practice of excluding black citizens from juries. This case continues to receive little attention, which would be the complete opposite if Holtzclaw was black or if the victims had been White. While black females in Oklahoma receive no sympathy, Whites are singing an entirely different tune about the “war on drugs” now that hoards of Whites are languishing with heroin, prescription medication and methamphetamine addiction. For decades Whites have offered no compassion and lots of jail time for black people suffering from substance abuse issues. Whites also spent a good deal of time sulking about recent date showing rising death rates for middle-aged Whites. Perhaps this is also a product of “the Obama effect”?
