The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White p  eople. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog.

Now that we’ve had a school shooting the academic school year can official commence. Chris Harper Mercer, 26, allegedly massacred Umpqua Community College students in Oregon; 9 are reported dead, 10 are reported wounded. President Obama even noted the “routine” nature of these events. Mercer allegedly classified himself as “mixed-race,” but the Los Angeles Times characterized him as having White Supremacist leanings. The suspected White Supremacist leanings of GOP Majority Whip Steve Scalise are old news; he’s now positioning himself to snare House Speaker John Boehner’s job. And while Whites feign outrage about the lax gun laws, the two year “anniversary” of Miriam I. Carey being shot and killed in the nation’s capitol continues to be ignored. Her family and supporters marked the event by holding a vigil in New York.
