The Native and Latinos for Justice Committee appreciate you reaching out to us regarding the upcoming Justice Or Else Movement. We are working collectively with clergy, activists, artists and educators to mobilize for the upcoming 20th Anniversary of the Million Man March.
Many of you are already familiar with the tremendous impact of the Million Man March in October 1995 where nearly Two Million Men of different religious, economic and political backgrounds gathered together in Washington DC to atone and recommit to family and community. This will be the 20th anniversary of that historic event with an even more serious push towards unity of the whole as we face gross injustice and serious crisis in terms of our stability and survival in this hour.
“This is not a Million Man March. That’s what was! This is a movement of human beings for Justice Or Else.” – The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan
We would like to invite you, your spiritual leaders, elders, youth and families to the International Indigenous Prayer Ceremony on Friday, October 9, 2015 on the National Mall in Washington DC. Sweat lodges and tipis will be encouraged to be set up throughout the National Mall for this momentous, spiritual event.
We will convene on the National Mall with meditative minds and spirits. This spiritual event is a precursor to the 20th anniversary Million Man March on Saturday, October 10th, the theme being “Justice or Else”. The Justice or Else Movement is going to be an historical event, an iconic gathering of all the original and aboriginal peoples to come together to demand Justice for all our people. We are sure this communion between Red, Black and Brown – the Four Directions will be listed as one of the pivotal moments for justice in history!
Will you consider sponsoring the attendance of your spiritual leaders and elders? If not, we will do our best to make sure all of the Natives and Latinos who would like to participate receives all the information needed to attend.
We believe and promote unity within the Indigenous communities: One Prayer, One Heart, One Spirit and One Mind.
Please do not miss this opportunity to improve the world for our children, grandchildren and the rest of our descendants. We long to give Mother Earth and the original people, Indigenous people, the Justice that is due. We thank you!
