The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog.
Brand new Attorney General Loretta Lynch made global headlines with indictments against governing soccer body FIFA for a massive “$150 million bribery and racketeering scheme.” Of course, accused black people – like “Trinidad Jack” Warner – were prominently showcased. Lynch has also been a key voice in debates on the Patriot Act’s pending expiration. President Obama urges reform, The New York Times’ editorial board wants the provisions trashed, and Reihan Salam reminds us that “a lot of those Patriot Act powers are permanent.” Conintelpro reminds us that laws and permission don’t prohibit White surveillance. Speaking of Pres. Obama, a Pennsylvania newspaper apologized for publishing an editorial calling for the execution of the non-white commander in chief. Speaking of killing black people, the Chicago Police Department added to its sterling reputation by terminating a White officer who posed for a photo with a hunting rifle and a black male wearing deer antlers.
