The Context of White Supremacy hosts our 10th study session on The Autobiography of Malcolm X: As Told To Alex Haley (1965). The voice of El Hajj Malik El Shabazz continues to offer an accurate indictment of the global enterprise of White Terrorism. The war against black people that Minister Malcolm committed his life to opposing remains; the relevance of his life and work evidenced daily. Last week’s session detailed Malcolm’s hajj to Mecca. He explained how his experience altered his perception of Whites. He believed that if more White people would commit themselves to Islam, it could help eliminate Racism. He also revealed how Whites distorted the global perception of the White Terrorism targeting black people. He made this a point of emphasis during all of his discussions with African students and “leaders.” As we continue, listeners are advised to keep this text in mind when searching for patience to share with black people.
