Today during the first hour we will be joined by Mark Clements, a member of the board of directors and a staffer at Campaign To End The Death Penalty. Mr. Clements has experienced incredible hardship as a wrongfully convicted teen who was tortured into confessing by Chicago police to an arson fire that resulted in fatalities. Mr. Clements will discuss the latest news involving wrongfully convicted death row inmate Rodney Reed who has spent over 17 years on death row in Texas. Texas is known for all the death row executions is has committed over the decades leading the nation. We will also ask Mr. Clements, who still lives and works in Chicago, about the killing of 17-year-old black teen Laquan McDonald by Chicago police who shot the teen 16 times but lied in press statements about only shooting him once in the chest.

Vince Vaughn makes racist statement related to Affirmative Action twisting the meaning of racism
Did racists and bigots burn another mosque in Texas?
Read your comment Scotty, and it ignores what Vince Vaughn said. “Rights don’t come to you because you’re a man or a woman or African American or European or Jewish. And I certainly don’t think the federal government should be in the business of deciding things or handing out money based on factors like these.” —-He’s saying keep government OUT! That makes sense! Total sense!
The subject of his comment were Black people while he did follow it up with what you posted. As I state in my radio commentary, the Federal government has long practiced racism and there were government programs for white people that MLK Jr. discussed about land grants to whites, millions of acres that were then followed by subsidies not to farm, subsifies that continue to this day. Now after all the land and money has been given to whites to give them a economic foundation, now mostly whites want to eliminate Affirmative Action without having to give back the land and the money their ancestors got undeservedly. As I also state, white women and white men are the primary beneficiaries of Affirmative Action as noted by the story I shared from Mobile, Alabama. Affirmative Action has done little to level the playing field nor has it addressed systemic racism so lets stop acting like millions of blacks are benefiting from it.
