Joining us on tonight’s broadcast are human rights and political prisoner activists Efia Nwangaza and Jihad Abdulmumit to discuss the recent presentations related to UN Convention Against Torture review of the United States. Every four years countries who are signatories to the Convention Against Torture (CAT) are required to submit reports on how they are complying with the ban on torture and inhumane and degrading treatment or punishment of human beings.
Later we will speak with Attorney Bret Grote who is working on the filing to oppose the recent “Muzzle Mumia Law” in Pennsylvania which was passed to target and silence world renowned activist, political prisoner and political commentator Mumia Abu Jamal. Mr. Gote works with the Abolitionist Law Center.
