Hollywood and Uncle Rush producing ratchet film version of WorldStarHipHop
It was only a matter of time before Hollywood decided to make a movie based on the garbage found on WorldStarHipHop. And guess who is onboard the ratchet film project? None other than the proxy king of predatory lending Russell Simmons aka Uncle Rush.
From Deadline: “WorldStarHipHop is headed from the web to the screen at Paramount Insurge, which bought a pitch for a feature film inspired by the notorious and highly trafficked urban culture and shock video site…..Hip hop impresario Russell Simmons has come aboard to produce alongside Douglas Banker, Trevor Engelson, and site founder Q Worldstar for Def Pictures, Woven, Underground, and World Star Hip Hop respectively as filmmakers eye a Fall shoot in New York City.”
Of course any criticism of the coonery will be met with justifications under Freedom of Speech and if the movie does well, expect a NAACP Image Award down the pipe. Meanwhile in Ocala, Florida, the latest city to jump onboard the saggin ban bandwagon, offenders will be fined $500 and/or 6 months in a jail cell.
