House Speaker John Boehner: “I’d rather kill myself than raise the minimum wage”

House Speaker John Boehner (R) says he would rather kill himself than to allow a vote on raising the minimum wage. Republicans contend that it would be a job killer. In 1996, Boehner used similar language in expressing his opposition to raising the minimum wage telling  The Weekly Standard, “I’ll commit suicide before I vote on a clean minimum-wage bill.”
