A Detroit mother’s trust leads to criminal justice nightmare

A Detroit mother’s trust turned into a nightmare that resulted in her son losing his freedom. The case is so egregious that it is the only thing more egregious than the lack of media coverage about the specifics of the case. When news began to spread that four people were murdered in an alleged crack house on Runyon Street in 2007, then 14-year-old Devontae Sanford was eager to help the police find the killer. It is important to note that Devontae has special needs and his mother, Taminko…See More

Bryant Gumbel, Alan West and others, please stop with the slavery analogies

Posted on October 19, 2011 at 5:41pm 0 Comments

By Scotty Reid, freelance writer

Whether it is politics, the sports arena or general labor disputes, the analogy comparing modern labor disputes with the permanent stain of slavery just keep coming. The latest comparison was made by HBO’s Real Sports anchor Bryant Gumbel who said that NBA commissioner David Stern was some kind of modern-day plantation overseer. Republican and Tea Party favored Representative Alan West (R-FL), two months ago called Jesse Jackson and others out…

Stop ethnic cleansing of Black Libyans & Africans by Libyan Rebels

Posted on September 7, 2011 at 5:43pm 0 Comments

In March 2011 it was reported that President Obama secretly authorized the CIA to help Libyan rebels to overthrow the government of Muammar Ghaddafi. President Obama authorized this support including the U.S. participation in NATO bombings citing humanitarian reasons namely to prevent the slaughter of civilians by Ghaddafi forces. However, in March 2011 and perhaps earlier,…

Hi, I thank you for comment. I joined when I had to put my dog to sleep. This is me before she had to be put to rest. I had to bring her in day after Valentines Day. I got her at the pound no one wanted her, such a crazy world. So many needing love and so many wanting love, and so many who want to give and receive.

I used to work as a Counselor for children who were teenagers and in foster homes. I see sad things and I feel too much. I teach dance and teach each dancer compassion. You can see it the movement I tell them.

I feel that the inner city's have been neglected and the very rural areas. We need WYCA WMCA Well your talk show this web sight, it is a change and for the good.
