Back to School on a Shoe String Budget

According to Dr. Stephen Jones, parents can save thousands of dollars by mapping out a back to school shoe string budget. Annually the cost of going back to school continues to rise. Supplying one child for a k12 school or college can cost between $300 and $1000. In fact one student recently said a book he purchased cost $200. While this may not be the norm it is cause for alarm for parents who have several children. Parents must make difficult choices regarding the quality of materials their…See More

5 Back to School How to Study Tips

Posted on September 4, 2010 at 3:00pm 0 Comments

The journey back to school is a time when students meet new friends and get adjusted to a new school environment. The adjustment is not limited to K12 students there are changes for college bound students too. Often after the first week students realize that they do not know how to study and they easily get behind on assignments. Going back to school becomes a burden when students realize how much work that they need to complete. Students don’t realize that learning how to study is one of the… Continue

Middle School Students Caught in the Middle

Posted on February 28, 2009 at 8:30pm 0 Comments

It’s amazing how easy it is to forget about the middle school years. Do you remember your crazy middle school years? Middle school students are often caught in the middle while we focus on preparing high school students for college. There needs to be national attention focused on the middle school years to prepare them for the career challenges that face this country. I have noticed that even those who write books focus their efforts on elementary and high school students and leave middle… Continue

President Obama Drama Must Stop

Posted on February 22, 2009 at 9:43pm 0 Comments

On the night the President Obama was elected we witnessed the largest rainbow of all ethnic backgrounds and races come together for the joyous occasion. On that night President Obama talked about how we have come far but we must continue to fight for the survival of our country. So I ask why all of the President Obama drama this week. President Obama has spent much of the past year and a half campaigning and talking about how we must come together.

We share the same interests in making a difference in the lives of young people...mine are global because we are so interconnected......
I travel a lot...I want to go to every country on the planet. My program is called "Linking the Generations and Building Strong families"> AS you work on getting young to graduate high school and succeed in College please involve the older people in the community. The elderly have a lot to offer.
Waiting and looking forward to a rewarding collaboration....for the benefit of the next generation....our children.
Shalom!

Its a honor to network with you. I won't the best for my son. He is only 5 months now. I went to college to be a nurse but, I had found out later thats not what I really wanted to do. Now I am going to school for business. Fos some reason I love it Its my passion and I love people and networking with them. I won't my son to be as smart as other childers. I even bought him the program (My baby can read) I struggled on ACT scores when I was in highschool. I had to take my act 9 times to even get a 20. I wasn't really learning what I needed to no in school on the Act so, I was really blanked. I took myself to the libraury and just learned on my own. I struggle through that part. I hope my son can just go in like a champ. I really inspire you for helping the childern. Your really a bright person. God bless and stay in touch!!! :0)

Occupy Philly Activists Go to Trial, Maybe to Jail

By Michael Coard, 4/14/2012, news, opinion

On April 26, 2012, several defendants could be sent to prison for what they did outside a government facility on November 29th last year, prior to the police arriving and catching them in the act. Sounds like a gang of terrorists caught red-handed, doesn’t it? But words, like appearances, can be deceiving. These were no terrorists. And they weren’t gangsters either.…

NJ Weedman: “I refuse to be another John Ray Wilson”

Ed Forchion aka NJ Weedman, 4/25/2012, op-ed, news, politics

My Prosecution - On May 1st, 2012 I go on trial in Burlington County Superior Court before Judge Delehey. In most cases a defendant is told not to talk about the case, the facts and follow attorney advice to keep quiet. In my case I refuse to keep quiet, I’m telling the facts and I’m representing myself. While most defendants are afraid; I’m looking forward to…

Not Everyone With an Illegal Gun Deserves Jail Time

By Michael Coard, 4/14/2012, news, opinion

Most Philadelphians believe that violent crime is the city’s biggest problem. As a result, you might think severe punishment for anyone who illegally possesses a gun—regardless of whether the person committed a separate non-violent crime with it—is part of the solution. Mere unlawful possession, you’d argue, is enough to warrant mandatory imprisonment. No probation. No fine.…

Black Talk Radio News, 4/13/2012, news,

In response to a FOIA request on the Devontae Sandford case by freedom activist Roberto Guzman, the Wayne Countyprosecutor’s office failed to turn over copies of all the taped confessions of then 14 yr-old Devontae Sanford. For now throw out the fact that Devontae had no legal counsel at the time the tapes were made.

Mr. Guzman who is also a para-legal and works on…
