Hat tip to Kulture Kritic in reporting the blatantly racist propaganda specifically targeting 16 yr. old Gabby Douglass fresh off her Olympic medal winning performances resulting in gold for Team USA and one for herself as the world’s best female gymnast.
Fox News has a long history of promoting and/or giving a platform to host who espouse suspected white supremacist views. A female Fox News host has enraged African-Americans, along with others who were rooting for Team USA, with her nasty comments that just fell short of calling the 16 - yr old African-American gold medal gymnast Gabby Douglass a slut.
“You know, Gabby had that great moment, and everyone was so excited, and she’s in hot pink — and that’s her prerogative,” - Alisyn Camerota.
Host like Alisyn Camerota are a dime a dozen on the Fox propaganda channel. They usually are young, long haired and often blond women who are willing to dress provocatively, show some leg and cite their lines as they pretend to interact spontaneously with guests.
I guess it is Alisyn Camerota's prerogative to wear hot pink mini skirts while pretending to host a news program. To be fair and balanced, alot of Fox News female hosts seem to be required to wear short skirts and show lots of skins. Cue ZZ Top "Legs".
For context, her guest David Webb, a Black conservative Tea Party radio host, smart racists always seem to find that willing Black person to cosign, played the nationalistic fool in suggesting the uniforms should have been similar to the uniforms of the Chinese, with a more patriotic flavor. Who can say if he even picked up on the fact that the suspected racist woman he was conversing with just suggested there was something slutty about America's first Olympic African-American female to win team and individual all-around gold in gymnastics.
A Reading, Penn., company named GK Elite teamed up with Adidas to design and manufacture the women's gymnastic team's competition leotards. Designing Olympic apparel can be worth a lot of money in future textile and clothing design contracts.
“Fox News Channel (FNC), also referred to as Fox News, is a cable and satellite television news channel owned by the Fox Entertainment Group, a subsidiary of News Corporation.” So in plainer language Fox News is produced by an entertainment company, sort of like the WWE, and engaged in spreading political and social propaganda.
Both Camerota and Webb did not single out any other member of the USA womens gymnastic team although they all wore the same leotards through out Olympic competition. Since Douglass is the only Black gymnast on the team, that makes the comments seem suspiciously racist.
Another gold medal winning teammate of Gabby Douglass's, McKayla Maroney, thought it was cool that her leotards matched the colors displayed in the Olympic arena.
The 16 yr-old Maroney uploaded this picture to her populagram online photo stream saying, "Matched the arena perfectly today!"
Remembering how Fox News host Geraldo Rivera created a backlash when he suggested 17-yr-old Trayvon Martin was dead because he wore a hoody, Maroney also uploaded her "hoodie" photo with Gabby Douglass behind her in a red, white and blue USA tee-shirt. "
Can you imagine what the Fox News propagandist would do with this picture if Douglass was wearing the hoodie? Words like thug would surely be tossed around by people like Rivera, Camerota and Webb.
