Ending the Drug War w/ James Mooney

2/22/2012 - 8:00 PM EST

The war on drugs does more to destroy the family unit than the actual drugs themselves. Joining me tonight will be James Mooney of LEAP & Oklevueha Native American Church.

As co-founder of theOklevueha Native American Church (ONAC), James has several roles through which he attempts to correct some of the damage the war on drugs has perpetrated upon American families. In addition to his role as an American Native Elder Seminole Medicine Man, James serves as the director of the recidivism reduction ‘clergy’ program (Habilitative Programs) of ONAC. In James’s opinion, the war on drugs is presently the largest contributing factor to the disruption of the American family unit. ONAC is dedicated in doing everything in its power to heal the destruction that the war on drugs has perpetrated upon our families.

Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP) is a non-profit organization formed by cops, judges and others in the criminal justice system who believe the War on Drugs has been an expensive failure that has only made our nation's tragic drug problem worse.

WWooooww Tkcal Obama aint no Martin or MalcolmX. First Malcolm was fighting for his peoples he believe we never should have segregated with the whites u see were it got us nowhere. And Martin was coming around to that same thought as Malcolm because he said he was guiding his peoples to a burning house meaning segregating with whites trying to be their friends. Now look what been happening over all these years my Brother that all i have to say

TKCAL said: Real Brother here. Correct Obama is no Malcolm or Martin...he's 1000 times better. They were caught up in the myth that Whites are Superior and messed around and got killed. Racists and Black Sellouts will never get to Obama.

You sound like a brother caught up in the myth of Barack Obama. To say that Malcolm X or Martin Luther King Jr. thought white people were superior is not only nonfactual, it is downright ignorance.
