Watching and video taping law enforcement is a passive non-v
iolent means to bring attention to the serious issue of police violence against citizens and non-citizens alike and perhaps assist victims in obtaining justice in criminal and civil courts.
If you are concerned about whether this activity is illegal in your state, the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press has a state by state guide on the laws pertaining to recording phone calls. This can also be applied to video recording individuals and their activities in full view of the public. If it is against the law in your state to record in public, it should not be and a campaign to throw out those laws needs to occur. These laws help to cover up the crimes of law enforcement officers. Tape at your own risk discreetly and we can and will publish and distribute your recordings without revealing the source (you).
People should not be afraid of law enforcement officers, law enforcement officers who violate the civil rights of the people should be afraid.
If you would like to start a chapter in your city, county or state, please contact us at watchacop@gmail.com.

The inquiry into the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya by conservatives to this point has been little more than an expression of white supremacy and political theater. What the inquiry is saying is that only "American" lives matter and not the lives of the thousands killed in Libya or those that are still being killed and displaced from their homes due to ethnic cleansing by forces backed by the United States. The…
