This is a hard question! One we can't decide who one is going to fall in love with and why! Here are some things to ask ourselves if one grows up in a house were people use drugs will they end up using drugs? If one grows up in a house were people smoke will they end smoking? If one grows up in a house were people fight each other all the time will they do so also? I'm raising my grandson (he is 7 years old he saw his father shoot his mother (when he was 3 years old) causing her to be in a wheelchair today then his father went on to kill himself) he has all kinds of questions. If my wife and I had not been there for him he would have been placed in foster care. My grandson has questions about sex and family life. He wants to know why me and grandma kiss each other. We tell him because we love each other and that's what married people do. Then he asks about men kissing men and women kissing women. We tell him thats not the way GOD wants things to be. I tell him he don't see me kissing any of my male friends or grandma kissing any of her female friends. How does a homosexual couple handle the same question. We all can say how we would like for them to handle it, but they are the ones that have to deal with it. Children are going to ask questions. I'm 56, years ago in my first relationship (when I was 25) my 5 year old daughter ask why did I smoke, didn't I know it was bad for me. I could have push her off and pull rank being a so-call adult but I didn't. Her question cause me to stop smoking. Now what does all of this have to do with the question of adopting children, what ever your lifestlye is all people should really have to go through some serious family planning before being allow to adopt and raise a child. In closing to me if a couple is gay, there should be some straight couples that they have as a support group to help balance the child's outlook! I don't let my grandson go off with anybody gay or straight, he is only allowed to go off with people that are a part of my extended family, and we all share the same values and outlook! If our family life was right from the get go children would not have to be adopted in the first place! Peace & Blessings Those are some of my thoughts! As said from the start this is a hard question!

I know seveal pairs of man man and woman woman, who have kids and they all doing very well. In my country it is many years ago that gays was allowed to get married. There are no studies that show kid from gay parents are more motivated to beceome homosexual.

I know it is a sencitive subject in many countries in the world. So it is good to discus.

Absolutely gay couples should be allowed to adopt children. All children need love, the fact that a couple is same-sex should not matter.

I understand the question; however, let's speak about the period prior to the children being placed in a position whereby they need to be adopted and/or placed in any foster care. What about the stealing of our children? What about the drugging of our children? Too many children are being legally kidnapped from their parent's for all kinds of divious agenda's. Let's talk about the money that the states and/or counties are making off of these children as a whole. Studies have shown that children that are removed from the homes have been harmed at higher rates in foster care, groups homes etc, at a much more higher rate than they would had they stayed home.

The bottom line is that it matter's not about who adopts these children in the eye's of the politicians, the bottom line is that these kids are adopted and/or placed, this will ensure the federal financial incentives monies to continue to come into the local and state govenments. This is all about money not children, this is the real issue, the gay issue is just a diversion. Lastly, in the state of Michigan, 60% of the children have been removed from their homes, 80% of the removed children came out of Wayne County. Why? This state is broke and the financial incentives are being used to keep this BROKE state operating. This proves that the issue is to removed the children for the money, whereby the gay issue is just a side diversion.

What I can see when I read your words is that you compare Gays with Nazis, for me it is wrong to compare like this. I can understand that you have been treated bad and wrong but from my point of view it has nothing to do with Gays and adoption. In my contry it is allowed for Gays to adopt so it is okay for me.

Good Morning,

This is a tough one. My answer is based on what I have personally seen with a young woman whose mom came out in the late eighties, got married to her partner and tried to raise her two daughters. Although she had help from family and friends the oldest of the two children starting acting out immediately after the marriage of the two lesbian women. The oldest of the two is now having a serious time staying in a relationship and I feel it is all due to the pressure she felt living in a two mommy household.

Now I hear the stories of children who grow up in these households who turnout all right also. It is a tough one. However based on my faith I am going to say no. We just have to help more traditional families and people who have more traditional values be able to adopt.

Yes, gay couples should be allowed to adopt children. Being good parents knows no gender. They should be capable of raising good children too. As long as there is love in the family, the child will grow up alright. We should not use the homosexuality issue against them. They too, long to build a strong and happy family like we do and they will definitely be good parents.

my opinion is that our major concern should be for the children. i'm not sure if this is a good idea or not. time will surely tell though.

yes. i don't see any reason why not. in adoption cases, the best interest of the child is always the primary consideration. Whether or not the adoptive parents are gays or straight, it doesn't matter. If the child is better off with the gay parents, then let it be.

As long as they will accomplish the responsibilities of a parent and be a good example to the child I think theres nothing wrong with that besides there are so many gay couples than respect moral values
