Why You Mad Son LLC, an urban edutainment media company is holding a fundraiser for two students of Paul Robeson High School in NYC. Akeem Pearce, 18, and Jamaican-born Troy Ennis, 20, both grew up with out their parents but made it through high school and aspire to go to college. They created a video that went viral on Youtube which protested the conditions of their school and helped raise public awareness about the murder of Florida teen Trayvon Martin. The video caught the eye of administrators at Morehouse College who accepted the teens application but because all financial aid had been exhausted, they will need $10,000.00 to cover the rest of tuition.
The CEO of WYMS LLC, Charlette Capers and her associates decided to hold a fundraiser for the two teens and people can make a donation to the cause online or at a private screening for the film "Celies's Revenge" on November 1, 2012 at AMC Theaters - Empire 25, 234 W 42nd St, New York, NY 10036. The eventis organized by WYMS Entertainment LLC, WYMS Radio, Bailey's Cafe and Damn My Baby Smart Films.
Joining me tonight to discuss the fundraiser, the event and issues raised by the students is Charlette Capers, the CEO of Why You Mad Son LLC.
Afterwards I will be sharing some of the news of the day and kicking that old school Hip-Hop and R&B.

There will be no justice for the family of Ramarley Graham unless another indictment against NYPD Officer Richard Haste is issued by another grand jury. Ramarley Graham is a teen who was shot in his grandmother’s bathroom while allegedly trying to flush a small amount of marijuana down the toilet. A Bronx judge tossed the indictment of the officer who shot and killed Graham claiming he had a gun but none was found. Citing mistakes…

The inquiry into the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya by conservatives to this point has been little more than an expression of white supremacy and political theater. What the inquiry is saying is that only "American" lives matter and not the lives of the thousands killed in Libya or those that are still being killed and displaced from their homes due to ethnic cleansing by forces backed by the United States. The…
